It is a privilege to announce that we are moving forward with Poets vs Sexual Harassment: Online Edition. This series of online events is in partnership with UN Women UK, in support of their latest initiative, ‘Safe Spaces Now’.
Our poets will stand up to sexual harassment in all its forms and will rise in solidarity with all victims of gender-based violence, letting them know they are not alone by lending their voices to the ending of domestic abuse, stalking, rape, and all forms of sexual violence.
We are publishing an extraordinary line-up of poets in Poets Versus Sexual Harassment: An Anthology, our first e-book edition. Purchase this anthology via a minimum donation of £5 to UN Women UK. We will send the anthology to those who email us a proof of their donation. Just £15.00 provides a week’s worth of food and hygiene essentials for a mother struggling to feed her family during COVID-19.
The series of performances will be available for free across our online platforms in a variety of formats: video/audio performance, Instagram Live, text interviews, and excerpts. Through our partnership with UN Women UK, we will endeavour to empower our poet-activists, enabling them to empower a wider circle. Words can create a lasting change. But we need your support, particularly during these challenging times of escalating gender-inequality, as womxn’s rights are under increasing threat. Support UN Women UK to deliver help to womxn and girls in need, educate societies, and hold governments to account. Please donate as much as you can.
